Give your body some exercise
Exercising during the later part of the day is easier than exercises after waking up. This is because, in the later part of the day, your body is already warmed up from your daily activities.
However, exercising after waking up really wakes you up and prepares your musculoskeletal system for your daily activities. It gives you a sense of freshness and a psychological boost while starting your day.
A second benefit is it's that it gives you the chance to make your diet more beneficial. Post exercise, the energy requirement and metabolism in your body completely changes. What you feed your body at this point can accelerate your health goals. Had you exercised at the end of the day, you have the chance for only one meal, after which you could fast for 7-9 hours (sleep).
Therefore, if you can, exercise after waking up. If you cannot engage in high intensity exercises because of sleep inertia, engage in mild exercises. The fact is, unless you want a quick result for some reasonable reasons, a slow route is best for the rest of your body to adjust yourself to the change.
So, engage in light exercises such as:
- Walking
- Jogging
- Running
- Yogasanas
- Light sports
For more information, read this post too. Exercise for about 20 to 30 mins and get back to your next routine.
